okay so i technically don't have any hair at the moment, but i tried going blue before i shaved and it turned out teal/aqua and then green... oompa loompa anyone?
i guess i din't bleach it out enough and was wondering if anyone knew of bleaching techniques to take dark dark brown hair to platinum/white tones?
also what bleaching kits/combos work best?

Re: bluer blue
06/09Hello :)
Wella SpeedLite on the scalp oil bleach and twenty volume. Apply when hair and scalp are dirty. Could take up to 45 minutes to get to desired level, wait past orange yellow stage, bright yellow stage. Also what brand of temporary color are you using? -

Re: bluer blue
06/09yeah, what she said...also, some other bleaching tips:
-make sure you apply the bleach quickly after you mix it. i notice a differnece in the hair i put the bleach on first even, five minutes could mean the differnece between blonde and white.
-add heat, the heat helps the bleach work faster, not 45 minutes of heat, you might fry your hair, just on and off heat it with atleast a warm blowdryer
-the product called "white out" also works pretty well..its for amature use and you can buy it at hot topic...its kindof foolproof, and comes with some stuff that you apply afterwards to maek your hair more white.
-play around with the brand of stuff youre using. blue can be fickle. there have been times where im doing a double dye and the blue on one person turned out green and on another person barely at all and light blue. it just depends on your specific hair.
good luck with your blues!
