I NEED hair help. Lately I've been thinking about cutting these dreads (of 4 years) off but would like to try and salvage a cute hair style (think pixie-ish.choppy attacked with razor blades look). Since I haven't been good about getting my hair maintenanced regularly, alot of the regrowth
isn't completely dreaded yet. Which I'm thinking/hoping could work to my advantage, along with a huge vat of conditioner. ;) Does anyone in the house know of a good hair stylist/salon that does really awesome work in the bay area? Someone in the same vien or who knows alot about dreads.extreme cuts and color.freak friendly(for lack of a better phrase) but isn't empty my wallet spendy? Plz to be leaving me any leads here! Thank you and good night...errr morning!

Hmm, I have heard that Downy (yes, the fabric softener) helps to get tangles out when dreads are cut off. I don't know of a good hair stylist who's cheap, but if you're looking for a choppy attacked with razorblades look, why not try it yourself? Just cut 'em off at about the same legnth and see what comes of it! You may be surprised!

cut your dreads shorter and get a friend to help you detangle before you go to the salon-you will save money.Try cutting only a little off 1st
on your tightest dread to see how long you can leave your hair. Two inches when untangled could be a whispy four !
