It's almost time for my annual cut and re-bleaching, and I have no clue where to go.
My hair is a little bit complicated-- it's long (almost to my butt when it's wet), curly, and has fuchsia streaks and tips. The way I accomlish that is that there are a few bleached-white streaks in it, plus I have the bottom few inches bleached, and then I slather the whole thing with purple dye every 6-8 weeks.
Once a year I have the ends cut off and have the bleach job redone. The first year I had it done at Transformer in the lower Haight, and they did a decent job but I didn't like the feel of the shop. Last year's redo was at a place in Vegas, and I was pretty happy with it but I'm not going down there just to get my hair done.
San Francisco or the east bay would be ideal, but since I only do this once a year I don't mind driving to somebody really good.
Suggestions?

Thu, February 12, 2004 - 3:51 PMglamarama is great for cool and cut. they can totally handle your hair. anthony does my friend's curly hair and it looks great and he is great with color. sherry cuts my hair perfect. its a good place if you only go quarterly like my friend or only once a year.

Mon, March 8, 2004 - 8:32 AMDo you still need a stylist? I work at a salon as an apprentice, but I do all of my friends' hair outside of work to bring in some extra cash...anything from haircuts, to colors to extensions, etc.
Your hair sounds like it would be fun and interesting to do, so if you're interested, I'd love to do it :]
